LIPOSUCTION
The International Society of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) ranked liposuction as the second most common cosmetic surgery procedure in the world in 2019.
During surgical liposuction, a cannula is passed through the skin to remove fat cells in the reserve fat layer. This procedure can sometimes cause disruption to the lymphatic channels and injury of the cellular tissues. In some patients, this can lead to the appearance of lumps, bumps, swelling and discomfort in the post-operative period.

Most patients will be advised to wear compression garments for about three weeks post-surgery. Many Cosmetic Surgery Clinicians recommend a course of Endermologie 2-3 weeks pre-op and then again 2-3 weeks after liposuction.
MEDICAL ENDERMOLOGIE® PRE - LIPOSUCTION
Pre-op Endermologie helps to mobilise and decongest skin tissues, softening the skin to allow the surgeon to use smaller, less traumatic cannulas. We recommended 8 to 12 LPG endewrmologie treatments pre-op.
MEDICAL ENDERMOLOGIE® POST- LIPOSUCTION
Endermologie is non-invasive and gently stimulates circulation, thereby helping to reduce swelling and bruising and improve skin tone. It also helps to smoothen any minor contour irregularities and prevent the formation of scar tissue. We can start 5 to 7 days after surgery to help eliminate swelling and bruising and to relieve pain. Most patients who use Endermologie following liposuction report a quicker recovery time and a smoother, more satisfactory result.
Endermologie lipomassage should be avoided for at least 4-6 months after fat transfer to ensure the graft survives.
